The two times world champion, Yuvraj Singh recently made a big revelation on how he was treated. He fumed at the Indian selectors and the team management for making excuse of Yo Yo test and keeping him aside from the team.
So the retirement was, Yuvraj Singh’s decision or a forceful decision bestowed upon him?

Singh who played a key role in India’s World Cup triumphs in 2007 and 2011 was left dropped, after his consecutive good performances in Ind Vs Eng bilateral series and Champions Trophy. Yuvraj was disappointed when Yo Yo test was made criteria not the performance. Yuvraj Singh was asked to clear the Yo Yo and make a come back in the dressing room but after he cleared the Yo Yo test the team management took a U-turn.

Singh showed disappointment by mentioning greats like Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan. He said, “When a player of stature like Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan did not have any discussion with anyone before retirement then who am I”.
This has been having in Indian Cricket since a long time. Retirement is an individual thing but neither the selectors or the team management tries to communicate with the player regarding his future.

Yuvraj Singh further revealed that there was no support for him, if there was a support he would have played the World Cup, but he is happy that he has been a part of 2 world cup winning team and there’s nothing he could ask more.

Earlier there were reports that, there are no stakes of the selectors. All decisions regarding the team lies in the hands of the Captain and the Coach and now it seems true.

After Champions Trophy 2017 more than 15 players were given a chance at number 4, but the team management did not stick to one individual. Too much of experiments cost the World Cup for Team India.

Yuvraj Singh was recently seen captaining Toronto Nationals in Global T20 Canada. Yuvraj had a long stressful career so now he wants to enjoy time with his family and wants to enjoy Cricket by playing in different leagues. Yuvraj did not play the World Cup but still he will always be known as a fighter and a world champion.
