Yesterday at all parties meet PM Modi said that there had been no intrusion or take-over of any Indian post. This statement by PM Modi quickly become so controversial that government forced to issued a clarification.
“Neither has anyone intruded upon our borders, not is anyone currently intruding, nor is any Indian post in the hands of anyone else,” PM Modi said in all party meet. “In Ladakh, 20 of our soldiers have died but those who have raised their eyes at Bharat Mata, they have been taught a lesson.”
This statement leaves out many unanswered questions, If China didn’t enter Indian territory, then how did they ‘erect a structure’ on our soil as pointed out by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar in call with his Chinese Counterpart.
How did 20 soldiers die, 76 get injured and 10 allegedly captured ? There’s like a bubble of confusion created after PM Modi statement.
What actually External Affairs Minister said in a issued statement after a Phone call with Chinese Foreign Minister.
“At the meeting of senior Military Commanders held on 6th June, an agreement was reached on de-escalation and disengagement along the Line of Actual Control. Ground commanders were meeting regularly to implement this consensus throughout the last week.
While there was some progress, the Chinese side sought to erect a structure in Galwan valley on our side of the LAC. While this became a source of dispute, the Chinese side took pre-meditated and planned action that was directly responsible for the resulting violence and casualties. It reflected an intent to change the facts on ground in violation of all our agreements to not change the status quo.”
In the statement it is clearly mentioned that “the Chinese side sought to erect a structure in Galwan valley on our side of the LAC”.
Now how did Chinese was able to erect a structure on our side of the LAC without intruding into our land. S Jaishankar also said that “It reflected an intent to change the facts on ground in violation of all our agreements to not change the status quo.”
Again the same question arising if Chinese didn’t intruded how did they violating the agreement to not change the ‘status quo’.
Note:- To maintain the status quo is to keep things the way they presently are.
Pm Modi statement overruled his own minister statement. Many opposition leaders also raised the same question.
PM has surrendered Indian territory to Chinese aggression.
If the land was Chinese:

I find it quiet strange !! If nobody entered our border & none of our posts were occupied :: then @PMOIndia what was the fight for :: so many precious lives lost & so many injured :: Am both perplexed & concerned :: take parliament into confidence https://t.co/qkvvu3wGyF

How did 20 soldiers die, 76 get injured and 10 allegedly captured ?
According to official records the Indian Army intervened when Chinese side sought to erect an structure on Indian side of LAC. Now if no intrusion has taken place than this means that What Chinese saying about Indian Army is true.
“Indian Army had carried out “provocative attacks” on Chinese soldiers after “illegally crossing” the border”, this is what Chinese media reported and unfortunately the statement of our Prime Minister helped Chinese to gain advantage over the situation.
Center clarification on PM Modi’s comments
“Prime Minister’s observations that there was no Chinese presence on our side of the LAC pertained to the situation as a consequence of the bravery of our armed forces. The sacrifices of the soldiers of the 16 Bihar Regiment foiled the attempt of the Chinese side to erect structures and also cleared the attempted transgression at this point of the LAC on that day,” the government has said in today’s clarification.
“In fact, he specifically emphasized that in contrast to the past neglect of such challenges, Indian forces now decisively counter any violations of LAC. Those who tried to transgress our land were taught a befitting lesson by our brave sons of soil,” the statement added.
Though the centre came out with a clarification but failed to explain the most controversial remark of PM Modi statement.
