The 3 match series was a warm up series before T20 World Cup that was to take place at Townsville, Cairns and the Gold Coast on October 4,6 and 8. But after seeing the Global Pandemic, ICC declared postponement of ICC T20 World Cup.

There’s no point in organising this series, when the World Cup is postponed and there is a surge in number of Coronavirus positive cases in Australia again. However both the Boards will definitely try to create a window before T20 World Cup.

However this is a good news for all the IPL fans because the league stands for its overseas players who brings a different flavour in the tournament. With the likes of David Warner, Steve Smith, Andre Russell IPL becomes a global brand that is watched at every corner of the world.

IPL is scheduled to begin from September 19 in UAE with final being played on November 10. All the overseas players will directly reach UAE atleast a month ago where they will be quarantined in Bio Secure Environment.
