On May 3, the world celebrates and thanks the frontline workers who can go to any extent to gather correct news and information for the public without caring about their lives.

World Press Freedom Day was first celebrated in 1993 by the UN General Assembly. May 3 acts as a reminder to governments, to respect the freedom of press. This day is also a reminder for media professionals about issues of press freedom and professional ethics. This year the World Press Freedom Day will take place in the form of online debates and workshops around the world.
