UK PM Boris Johnson to appeal firms to call back their staff

After a long stint of work from Home UK Prime Minister ‘Boris Johnson’ will now appeal to all employers to start calling back their employees in work places so that the country is able to cope with the recession in the economy.

UK one of the worst hit areas because of Coronavirus has till now recorded more than 2 lakh positive cases with 44,650 deaths. However the country is finally heading to ease some lockdown restrictions. Several small businesses like pubs, restaurants, hairdresser have started to reopen however the Prime Minister has said that, he would not hesitate to impose strict restrictions if the number of Covid-19 cases rises.

According to latest report, Boris Johnson has told top civil servants to set up an example by calling the members of the desk and has also asked top companies like Goldman Sachs to call back their employees.

“I want people to go back to work as carefully as possible,” he said in a question-and-answer session with members of the public.

The UK government recently announced 30 Billion Pound package that would aid a gradual Economic recovery but add further pressure to UK’s fiscal position. The British economy is hardly hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. However according to Moody’s report said, ” the country’s autumn budget, which usually happens in the last months of the year, would be the key on providing clarity to UK’s future path of government indebtedness.”
