Tinder is not only focusing on matches between two users in same country. Earlier, company let the users match with other in same country. But it didn’t restrict the users to match on same countries. There was an option of “Passport” which allows users to match with the people of other countries. It is still available there and company charge the users for this feature.
In Passport feature, user had to select a specific country where they wanted to match with local person. It simply means if a Tinder user was travelling to Country Y from their Country X and wanted to find the partner in Country Y, they could use this feature by paying some charge. By using this feature, account of user starts appearing in another country’s app as well.
Global Mode of Tinder
Latest feature will be known as Global Mode, according to Verge. This global mode will allow the user’s account to appear in various countries at a time and people of other countries could find them.
Testing of Global Mode will get started by next week with some users. This feature may get replaced with Passport and if this feature remains free then it will definitely make the Tinder users go crazy.
