Timothée Chalamet first look from Dune revealed

The Oscar nominated actor Timothée Chalamet’s first look from the movie Dune is out now.

Dune is a science fiction movie adapted from the 1965’s novel of the same name which was written by American author Frank Herbert. The movie is directed by Denis Villeneuve who is better known for movies like Maelstrom (2001), Polytechnique (2009) and Incendies (2011).

The movie will only cover the first half of the book. Other than Timothée, the movie cast includes Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Jason Momoa and more. Dune is an international co-production of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Hungary.

Fun Fact: The Frank Herbert’s novel, Dune has two separate live-action adaptations prior to this movie. One is 1984’s Dune directed by David Lynch and the other is a miniseries made in 2000.

Timothée is playing the protagonist Paul Atreides, the scion of House Atreides in the film. The film went through lots of confirmations and cancellations throughout it’s production. Denis was the 3rd Director to show interest in this project. In December, 2018 Cinematographer Roger Deakins who recently won the Oscar for his work in 1917 was also in talks to be the DOP for Dune, but he also left.

Finally, the filming of the movie began on March 18, 2019at the Origo Film Studios in Budapest, Hungary and was completed im July of 2019. Dune is scheduled to be released in the United States in IMAX and 3D on December 18, 2020. You can listen to the original novel on
