Former Indian Legend and opener Sunil Gavaskar has included Rohit Sharma in his playing XI and also Mayank Agarwal for the third test starting from January 7, 2021.
India registered a historic win at the MCG beating Australia by 8 wickets in the Boxing day Test to square off the four-match test series 1-1.
With India winning the match in the absence of their key personnel – Virat Kolhi, Rohit Sharma, Ishant Sharma and Mohammed Shami, it’s a huge achievement for them.
But there is a positive for India as Rohit Sharma is all fit and set to make a comeback in the third test match. Former Cricketers, experts and fans are already keen to see Sharma open the innings. They believe that Mayank Agarwal who didn’t had a good outing with the bat in this series should sit out ahead of the third test and Rohit make a way in place of him.
Sunil Gavaskar has also given his opinion about the changes that he will make in this playing XI while talking to Sony Sports. In his playing XI, the Indian opener has included Rohit Sharma. He has also included Mayank Aggarwal in his XI. He has pushed Shubman Gill at no.5 and there is no place for Hanuma Vihari in his team. Sanjay Manjrekar later also had the same team in his playing XI.
