The fear of Coronavirus lead BCCI(The Board Of Control For Cricket In India) to postponed the IPL matches to April 15.
“BCCI & team owners in consultation with the govt will keep a close watch & decide the way fwd in the health interest of ever1,” he tweeted. From his tweet it’s clear the franchises are supporting the decision taken by the BCCI. The further decision regarding the matches will be taken after seeing the situation in the country.
Till now it’s assumed that IPL matches are going to take place in empty stadium without spectators to avoid the spread of Covid-19.
The country’s interest always comes first.
Sourav Ganguly earlier today said, “Health will be the first priority”.
