Shah Rukh Khan comes forward, donates 25000 PPE Kits to Maharashtra

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan again comes forward in these tough times, to help the frontline health workers by donating 25000 PPE kits to Health Ministry of Maharashtra. Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, Kolkata Knight Riders and Meer foundation are looking at all the opportunities to lend a helping hand to the needy.

Rajesh Tope, Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare of Maharashtra tweeted thanking Shah Rukh for his humbling gesture saying, “Many thanks Mr. Shah Rukh Khan for your kind contribution of 25,000 PPE kits. This will go a long way in supporting our fight against COVID19 & protecting our frontline medical care team @iamsrk @MeerFoundation @CMOMaharashtra”

 

Shah Rukh Khan acknowledged his tweet and said it’s time to stand for the humanity, he tweeted, “Thank you sir for all your help to source the kits. We are all together in this endeavour to protect ourselves and humanity. Glad to be of service. May your family & team be safe and healthy.”

Not only Shah Rukh Khan provided PPE Kits, but he also provided his 4 storey office building to BMC (Bandra Municipal Corporation) for quarantine centre. His NGO Meer Foundation is working extensively to provide foods to the needy who are facing problems during the lockdown

Shah Rukh also donated a wholesome amount in PM Relief fund and CM relief funds, for which Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal and Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee thanked him. The Superstar is always seen, trying to spread awareness of coronavirus in his most unique and entertaining way.
