The brand new Salman Khan movie Radhe – Your Most Wanted Bhai which released today on the streaming services ZEE5 and Zee Plex in India has received a lot of negative reviews from critics as well as from general audience, however the theatrical response from the middle East says a different story.
Most of the theatres in Dubai where the movie released was houseful because of Eid holidays. Theatre owners said to media sources that people were cheering and whistling all through the film. Several Salman Khan fan clubs shared photos & videos of people enjoying the film from their homes as well.
If we go through social media, the first impressions of Radhe are a mix bag. Some are hating it, some are loving it and some are just ignoring it. The ratings of Radhe on IMDb and other platforms are hanging between 4 to 5 out of 10 stars and is expected to drop down to 2. If that happens, it will become Salman Khan’s fourth movie after Dabangg 3, Bharat and Race 3 to get below average ratings in a row.
Box office wise, the last decade belongs to Salman Khan for a reason. Even though his films mostly got negative reviews, it went onto gross two hundred, three hundred crores in domestic market which is all the producers wanted from his films. If not for the pandemic, Radhe would have done the same once again. The screen count this time is not that much, so let’s see what BO figure would it be able to generate!
