As Coronavirus strongly marking their presence around the globe, every country in the world started taking the precautionary measure to minimize the spread of this virus. Just after WHO declares Coronavirus as a Pandemic and declares world wide emergency Government started doing their best to prevent their citizens. Meanwhile Indian PM Narendra Modi proposed SAARC nation for a conference call to make a strong strategy against Coronavirus.
In his tweet PM Modi makes a surprise call for SAARC nation to come together against Novel Coronavirus.
I would like to propose that the leadership of SAARC nations chalk out a strong strategy to fight Coronavirus.
We could discuss, via video conferencing, ways to keep our citizens healthy.
Together, we can set an example to the world, and contribute to a healthier planet.

All the seven countries Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in SAARC ready for conference call over Coronavirus.
Bhutan becomes the first to accept PM Modi call for Coronavirus.
“This is what we call leadership. As members of this region, we must come together in such times. Smaller economies are hit harder, so we must coordinate. With your leadership, I have no doubt we will see immediate and impactful outcome. Looking forward to the video conference.” PM Bhutan said in his Tweet.
Sri Lanka President Gotabaya Rajapaksa accepted the call of PM Modi just after Bhutan.
He said in Tweet, ” Thank you for the great initiative Shri @narendramodi – #LKA is ready to join the discussion & share our learnings & best practices and to learn from other #SAARC members. Let’s unite in solidarity during these trying times and keep our citizens safe.”
Maldives was next in the line. Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih said “Thank you PM @narendramodi for taking the initiative on this important endeavour. Covid 19 requires collective effort to defeat it. Maldives welcomes this proposal and would fully support such a regional effort.”
Nepal also welcome PM Modi suggestions. Nepal PM said “I welcome the idea advanced by Prime Minister Modiji @narendramodi for chalking out a strong strategy by the leadership of the SAARC nations to fight Coronavirus. My government is ready to work closely with SAARC Member States to protect our citizens from this deadly disease.”
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina accepted the proposal, “HPM Sheikh Hasina welcomes the proposal and look forward to a constructive dialogue with @narendramodi @ibusolih @PM_Nepal @PMBhutan @GotabayaR n others HOSs/HOGs who already consented to discuss way forward at this testing time for the region and the world.” Foreign Minister Md. Shahriar Alam informed everyone via their twitter handle.
Afghanistan become 6th country in line who accepted the PM Modi proposal. Afghanistan President Spokesperson informed this via their twitter handle.
Although all the above country accepted PM Modi call because they have a friendly relationship with India. Lately, But Pakistan also accepted the proposal of India.
Pakistan Foreign affairs Spokesperson informed everyone about their stand. in her tweet she didn’t mention India or PM Modi.

SAARC – The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is the regional intergovernmental organisation and geopolitical union of states in South Asia. Its member states are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
SAARC nation constitute huge 21% of the world total population in only 3% of world’s area.
