Team India will be facing the Mighty Australian this November. The series is set to begin from 27th November, the first ODI will be played in Sydney on 27th, second on 29th and the third on 2 December in Canberra. The team will then play 3 T20 on 4th December, 6th December and 8th December, followed by 4 test matches in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
However controversies have sparked in just before the start of the series. Rohit Sharma’s injury have raised a lot of concerns. Rohit playing for his IPL franchise hints that the cricketer is fit, but still BCCI’s medical team is monitoring his fitness and has not included him in the Indian squad.
After the meeting of selection committee on Sunday there are few more changes in India’s squad. BCCI have confirmed that Virat Kohli will not be available in last 3 Tests. On his absence, Vice Captain Ajinkya Rahane will be leading the side. While the medical team will be monitoring Rohit’s fitness. Rohit Sharma has been kept out from the T20 and ODI Squad so that the opener can attain his full fitness before the start of the Test Series.
The mystery spinner who impressed everyone through his googlies and sliders, Varun Chakravarthy has been ruled out of the T20 series, after the bowler faced a shoulder injury. This was big opportunity for the young guy, the likes of MS Dhoni and David Warner couldn’t stand infront of this young gun. Young T.Natarajan has been called as replacement.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti, the young fast bowler will not be traveling with the team to Australia as he is working with the medical team on his bowling workload management.
The Indian team will be leaving for Australia from Dubai on November 12 and will land in Sydney. The team will be undergoing a quarantine period and will also train for the upcoming matches. This series holds a lot of importance for both the sides as Team India will be returning back on field after long span.
