RCB Vs SRH
David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad have defeated Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore in Eliminator of IPL 2020 by 6 wickets. While David Warner and his boys will now be facing Delhi Capitals in the second qualifier, RCB yet again failed to reach the glory.
It’s a fairy tale story for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this IPL. Every thing was against the team, but the boys never gave up and roared back like a lion. The injuries, the balance, the string of defeats in the initial phase of the tournament. Everyone had written off the franchise, but they again proved why they are known as the dark horse of the most celebrated Cricket league (IPL).
While on the other side it’s a disappointing loss of Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore. On big occasions, the team fails to live up to all the expectations and hopes. This was the best balanced team if we compare it to the squad of RCB in the past years.
The presence of Aaron Finch, Virat Kohli, Ab De Villiers, Yuzvendra Chahal, Navdeep Saini made it one of favourites, but again when it was needed the most RCB failed to deliver. This was 5th loss in a row for RCB. Now the fans will be hoping, ‘Agle Saal Cup Namde’
In today’s game Virat Kohli opened to bat with Devdutt Padikkal and this was failed move. Virat Kohli’s wicket in the first over completely pushed the team to the backfoot. The pressure was clearly visible, the runs stopped flowing and batsman crumbled under pressure. Sending Aaron Finch at number 3 doesn’t make any sense. The guy is an opener, this was completely a negative mindset of saving Aaron seeing his current form.
However Ab De Villiers has been a one man army for RCB this year. Every time the team needed him he stood up. With his fightable knock of 56 runs in 43 balls, RCB attained a fightable score of 131 runs which was never enough. The inclusion of Jason Holder in SRH has put a different level of confidence and Self belief within the players. SRH bowlers completely bowled according to the situation and conditions.
RCB bowlers tried to put up a good fight by picking early breakthroughs of David Warner, Goswami, Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg. At one point of time it seemed RCB have again gained control over the game, but ICE- Man Kane Williamson and Jason Holder stood in the middle till the end and took the team across the finishing line.
Kane Williamson played according to the situation and kept rotating the strikes thereby putting pressure on RCB bowlers. This innings played by Kane will help to boost the confidence of the players. The New Zealand captain arrived at a very difficult time and controled the play. Kane Williamson proved the formats may change, but the class must be respected. T20 is not only about hitting sixes and fours.
