Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao is finalised for the lead role in the Hindi remake of the Telugu film, Hit: The First Case. The original movie starred Vishwak Sen, Ruhani Sharma, Hari Teja and Murli Sharma. The director of Hit, Sailesh Kolanu is going to direct the Hindi remake also.

Hit: The First Case is a 2020 Telugu language crime investigative thriller which released on 28 February. The film received critical appreciation for the performances, music and direction. It was produced by South superstar Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni. Due to the global pandemic, the film just earned a manageable figure in it’s theatrical run but was considered profitable by the producers.
Rajkummar Rao will be seen for the first time in such an Avatar. Rao has done a variety of roles in his decade long filmy career but an intense crime thriller was missing in his filmography. In 2012, he appeared in a supporting role in the Aamir Khan starrer Talaash, which is a crime thriller. Fans of Rajkummar Rao are very happy with the announcement.
The Hindi remake of Hit will be produced by Dil Raju and Kuldeep Rathore. The film is right now in pre-production stage. It will go on floors next year. Other cast members are yet to be finalised.
