The decision to conduct NEET and JEE exams didn’t go too well with the students. During these unprecedented times, the students are not ready to risk their lives and go to Examination hall. People are voicing their opinion and demanding for postponement of NEET and JEE exams.
The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is scheduled to be held between September 1 to 6, while the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is scheduled to take place on September 13.

The Ministry Of Education has announced that the NEET 2020 will not be postponed as directed by the Supreme Court. While earlier this week the Supreme Court rejected the plea of postponing the entrance exams, saying ‘Life needs to go on’.
This step is receiving a huge backlash by the students. When the number of Coronavirus cases in the country has gone really high, is it really safe to conduct Exams ? Several big personalities like Bhuvan Bam and Carryminati have come forward and have requested to postpone the exams.
Although the exams will be conducted with strict protocols and proper safety precautions but still people are afraid seeing the affect of virus on the people.
Netizens are using this Digital Media to protest against this decision. #ProtestAgainstExamsInCOVID has been trending on twitter. The few valid questions that has been raised are, Will the students be able to focus on their exams with so much of restrictions and precautions ?
No matter how much strict precautions and protocols are followed when people gather at one place the risk increases. Moreover some students are getting examination centre 200-300 KM away from their home, when proper transportation is yet to be started this will increase the pain of the students.
However there are some unanswered questions, which the Ministry Of Education needs to answer soon and assure the students about their safety.
Here are some of the tweets:
Exams should not be conducted in this pandemic when there is flood like situation too in some states!!!
Moroever transportation facilities arent properly available too!!!
So Govt should listen to the demands of students and postpone exams…!!!!
