Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee today tests positive for Coronavirus.
In a tweet Pranab Mukherjee said, “On a visit to the hospital for a separate procedure, I have tested positive for COVID19 today. I request the people who came in contact with me in the last week, to please self isolate and get tested for COVID-19. #CitizenMukherjee,”

He served as the 13th President of India from 2012 to 2017 and India’s highest civilian honour, the Bharat Ratna in 2019 by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.
Earlier, on August 03, Union Home Minister Amit Shah was tested Corona Positive and Karnataka Chief Minister was also found Corona Positive along with her daughter on 3rd of August.

As of now 2,215,074 test positive for Coronavirus in India and 15,35,743 patients has been successfully recovered while death toll stand at 44,466.
