“It is because of our shared values, interests and objectives that PM Modi and I announced the historic elevation of bilateral relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in June this year,” Prime Minister added.
The relationship between both the countries rosed up since 2012, when Australia decided to sell uranium to India for non-military use. The aggressive stance of China on India, Australia and on other neighbouring countries help to making a strong ties between India & Australia.
On 15 August every year India hold a independence celebration at Red Fort of New Delhi, Prime Minister hoisted Indian tricolour every year followed by a speech.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison further said, “Our partnership is geared for the common good of our region and the global community, and this will be critical as we work to overcome the health, social and economic impacts of the COVID19 pandemic,”
“As students, skilled workers or joining family, people of Indian heritage have enriched this country. India is now our biggest source of migrants & their presence has contributed to Australia becoming the most successful multicultural nation on earth,” he added.
