It is set around 30 years prior to the India’s first war of independence of 1857. The film will be dubbed and released in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil
About UYYALAWADA NARASIMHA REDDY
Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy was a freedom fighter and the youngest son of a former Indian Telugu Polygar. He was the heart of a rebellion in 1846, where 5000 peasants rose up against the British East India Company(EIC) in Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh, then in Madras Presidency.
They were protesting changes to the traditional agrarian system introduced by the British in the first half of the nineteenth century. Those changes, which included the introduction of the ryotwari system and other attempts to maximize revenue impacted lower-status cultivators by depleting their crops and leaving them impoverished.
On 22 February 1847, he was hanged and executed in Koilkuntla in front of a silent crowd of over 2000 people. British kept his head on the fort wall in public view until 1877.
When two big budget action movies are releasing not just on the same date but on a special day then comparison between them is obvious.
While WAR is a new age action thriller, sye raa narasimha reddy is a period action drama. Both the films got great visuals, engaging sound tracks, beautiful locations and a brilliant cast. But as per storyline, SRNR is looking stronger than WAR because it’s a biographical film which gives it a little bit of advantage.
Note: Everything discussed here is as per as their trailers.
So, this 2nd October it’s going to be WAR vs SYE RAA NARASHIMHA REDDY.
