Brexit Everything you need to Know

MPs voted in favour of extending the Brexit deadline, after that PM of UK, Boris Johnson brings up the motion in parliament to call an early election on Tuesday.

UK PM Boris Johnson
Britain PM Boris Johnson

Unfortunately, PM Boris Johnson is not able to trigger an early election as not enough MPs supported him. To call of an early election at least two third members must back the idea. This is the second time within a week when parliament discards the call of early election.

Why Boris Johnson wanted to trigger an early election ?

PM was hoping that an early election could restore the majority in parliament that he lost last week through a combination of defection and ejection, and if he gets majority in election than he would be able to keep his promise to get Britain out of the European Union on time even if there’s no deal with EU.

The parliament has officially been suspended till October 14th 2019.

What is European Union ?

In simple word we can say EU is an union of 28 member state, economically and politically that are primarily located in the region of Europe. 18 countries in European union even uses same currency, Euro (EUR; €) for their transaction. The EU has developed an internal single market system.

EU policies aim to ensure the free movement of people, goods, services and capital within the internal market, enact legislation in justice & home affairs and maintain common policies on trade, agriculture, fisheries and regional development, For travel within the Schengen Area, passport controls have been abolished.

UK joined European Union in 1973. Now if UK leaves EU on 31st October as planned, it would become the first member state to leave European Union.

Why BREXIT ?

BREXIT comes from a combination of two word, Britain & Exit which means Britain Exit from EU.

A referendum was held on 23 June 2016, to decide whether the UK should leave or remain with EU. The referendum turnout was very high at 72%, with more than 30 million people votes – 17.4 million people voted for Brexit, which means nearly 52% vote in favour of Brexit.

There are many reasons which pushed UK to get out from EU but Migration policy of EU is one of the main reasons behind Brexit.

Any citizen of EU state can locate and work in Britain. They don’t even need any visa. This ease of migration of citizen has affected the Britain, which has unexpectedly high numbers of migrants. As many thinkers believe that citizens who doesn’t belong to UK, comes and use the resources of Britain for their own benifit which create problems for the netizen.

The another reason is money. UK is one of main contributor to the EU. This money is used across Europe to ensure a level playing field for the EU’s poorer countries by being invested in their infrastructure. Now UK doesn’t want to give huge amount of money to EU.

  • With Deal

The deal is in between United Kingdom and the European Union and it consist negotiation terms for Brexit, the planned withdrawal of the UK from the EU or we can say a set of terms & conditions for Brexit. Future and the relationship between EU and UK highly depend upon this deal.

The withdrawal agreement covered a range of things, including:

  • Withdrawal agreement
  • Transitional agreement
  • Trade agreement
  • Migration

The concern has been raised by UK citizens who live in other EU countries, and by citizens from those countries who live in the UK. The deal will clear this confusion too. As of now until UK effectively withdraw from EU, the current system of movement of labour remain in peace.

  • With No-Deal

There is a great possibility of a no-deal Brexit as UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson commits to leave  EU on October 31st 2019 at any condition.

In a no-deal scenario, the UK would immediately leave the European Union (EU) with no agreement about the “divorce” process.

Many thinkers believe that the withdrawal of Britain from EU with No-Deal can lead to adverse effects to Britain.

But the Parliament of Britain continuously is rejecting the Brexit deal, and it may lead to a situation of No-Deal Brexit.

Why did Parliament reject the Brexit deal ? The reason is very complex which requires a complete different analysis. If you need a full analysis on this topic do let me know in the comments.

Only time will say what is going to be happen. So wait for the October 31st 2019.
