End of an Era : “Pal do pal ka Shayar hoon”, Ms Dhoni announced retirement on Independence Day


Today on Independence day, the most successful Captain of Indian Cricket MS Dhoni announced his retirement in social media platform Instagram. He posted a video and wrote ” Thanks a lot for ur love and support throughout.from 1929 hrs consider me as Retired.”

39-year-old has not played a cricket match since India’s 2019 World Cup exit in England. He then took a sabbatical from Cricket and went for his training with the Para regiment fo the Indian Army.

This came as a surprise to many but Dhoni is expected to play in the upcoming IPL 2020 in the UAE as he was spotted earlier today arriving in Chennai for Chennai Super Kings’ training camp before they fly out.

Dhoni has won India 3 ICC trophies 2007 T20 World Cup , 2011 Cricket World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy.

He has played 350 One-day international and smashed a total of 10773 runs at an average of 50.6.
