Paramount pictures officially delayed the release of sequel of its super hit franchise movie Mission Impossible 7 & 8. Earlier Mission Impossible 7 & 8 was schedule to release on July 23, 2021, and August 5, 2022, respectively.
Now the seventh installment of Mission Impossible will release on 19 November, 2021, and the eighth on 2 November, 2022. Both the movies gets delayed for around 3 months due to Coronavirus outbreak.
The shooting for the seventh movie was halted in Venice, Italy in February due to Coronavirus.
In a statement released at the time, Paramount said: “Out of an abundance of caution for the safety and well-being of our cast and crew, and efforts of the local Venetian government to halt public gatherings in response to the threat of coronavirus, we are altering the production plan for our three week shoot in Venice, the scheduled first leg of an extensive production for Mission: Impossible 7.
“During this hiatus we want to be mindful of the concerns of the crew and are allowing them to return home until production starts. We will continue to monitor this situation, and work alongside health and government officials as it evolves.”
Other projects from Paramount pictures also gets delayed due to Coronavirus. Films like The Tomorrow World starring Chris Pratt, Dungeon and Dragons, Paw Patrol gets delayed release date.
Disney already postponed the release date of MCU Black Widow. This film will now release on 6 November 2020 (US), other movies from MCU also gets delayed.
Wonder Woman 1984, from Warner Brothers will now release on 14 August 2020. Hotel Transylvania and Escape Room 2 from Sony pictures also gets postponed.
