After the ongoing border tension with China in LAC, India is making all the efforts to be self reliant “Atmanirbhar”. This year, Seva Bharti an entity dedicated to social cause will be manufacturing Made In India LED light which will lighten the houses across the country this Diwali.
Since the face off between India and China there is anti- china sentiment emerged among people. Indians are furious and there is a sense of outrage among every Indian citizen, people are demanding the Government to Boycott Chinese products, to cancel all the trade with China. India being one of China’s biggest market, and to force them to go to backfoot the country needs to hurt the Chinese Economy. Everyone is expecting a bold step from the government and the best way according to them is to start manufacturing products that India imports from China.
It seems India has started to walk on the path of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’. Seva Bharti is looking to produce the LED lights that will help people in lightning their houses during Diwali. Dharamchand Jain who is heading this initiative said to IANS, “We will start selling these LED lights in the market before the Diwali season. Initially, there were challenges to buy raw material as the markets were closed under the lockdown phase, however, as the unlock period has started, we collected raw material which was completely Indian”.
He further revealed, “The copper-made wires are Indian and we are buying it from Delhi and Ahmedabad local markets. Even the caps and holders are Indian. Meanwhile, there was a challenge in getting indigenous LED bulbs because the Chinese bulbs were dominating the market, and hence we collected Taiwan bulbs as our mission is to boycott China made goods”.
This initiative will help India in becoming self reliant and also provide employment to many people during these tough times. The organisation will now provide professional training to the unemployed people from Kachhi Basti in Jaipur.
