Kings XI tarnished RCB at Dubai international stadium by 97 runs to secure their first win. KL Rahul 132 not out helped Punjab put a mammoth 206 runs on the board.
RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and choosed to bowl first with the same playing XI whereas Kings XI brought James Neesham and Murugan Ashwin in place of Chris Jordon and Krishnappa Gowtham.
Mayank Aggarwal and KL gave a very good start. They crossed 50 runs inside the first 6 overs. But Rcb bowlers did made a comeback by picking up wickets of Aggarwal, Pooran, and Maxwell but it was Rahul who kept hold of one hand. Rahul could have dismissed earlier had it not be captain Kohli dropping Rahul 2 times
Rahul took the advantage of this and brought up his century and played a gem of a knock.
KXIP posted 206 in 20 overs. RCB lost 3 wickets inside the first 3 overs in their chase. Sheldon Cottrell dismissed Padikkal and Kohli.
Regular intervals saw Rcb losing Wickets to spinners and ultimately all of them fell down like a pack of cards.
Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin took 3 Wickets each. With this huge win Kings XI are now on the top of the tables courtesy to their run rate.
