Kamal Haasan, Shankar comes in rescue of families of deceased during ‘Indian 2’ accident

Actor Kamal Haasan, Director Shankar and Lyca Production recently came in rescue of families of 3 people who died in the sets of Indian 2.

The tragic incident took place back in February. During the last part of the schedule in Chennai, a crane with heavy duty light crashed down down killing 3 people and leaving 10 injured. The 3 deceased were Krishna, Madhu (Assistant Directors) and Chandran (Catering Team).

This incident left every crew member shock and stunned. However the makers have stood by their words, by assisting help to the families. Today in an event organised by FEFSI President RK Selvamani. Kamal Haasan and Shankar handed over a cheque of 1 Crore to each family of the deceased. While Lyca Production also helped the families of the injured by giving them 1 Crore.

Indian 2 is one of the most anticipated movie, the film also features Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh in important roles. However since this incident took place, the makers are not able to restart the making of the film. Moreover the Coronavirus pandemic forced the movie to go on a halt.

Recent reports suggest that the makers are planning to resume the shooting of the Kamal Haasan starrer from February next year. The movie is a sequel to 1996 release Indian.
