According to Government sources, four terror launch pads in Neelum valley opposite to the Tangdhar sector – has been destroyed in the artillery strikes in (PoK).
- At 4:00 PM today, Indian Army conducts strike with artillery guns in Neelum valley inside POK.
- 6 Pakistani Soldiers were killed in the strike.
The Indian Army on Sunday targeted 4 Terrorist launch pads in Neelum Valley situated in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir just opposite to Tangdhar Valley with heavy artillery guns.
The strike was conducted just after Pakistan violated ceasefire in Tangdhar region. In this strike 4 launch pads harbouring terrorists affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen have been nuteralized as well as 6 Pakistani soldiers killed and several wounded.
The terror launch pads targeted by Indian Army are located in Jura, Athmuqam and Kundalsahi among others in PoK. The officials told that the strike was conducted after a credible inputs received by the army.
Earlier this Sunday, Pakistan violated cease fire in LoC area with the intention to push infiltrators into Indian Territory. 2 personels from Indian Army martyred and a civilian killed in a ceasefire violation from Pakistan.
This misadventure from Pakistan pushed Indian Army to carry out a strike inside Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
An army spokesman said, “As a result, calibrated escalation of area weapons was undertaken by the Indian side in which terrorist launch pads and Pakistan Army Posts giving incidental protection to these launch pads and certain gun positions were hit.”
“The Indian Army retains the right to respond at a time and place of it’s choosing in case Pakistan Army continues to assist terrorist activities across Indian borders.”
Whereas at 17:07 IST, Pakistan military spokesman Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor has denied the Indian government claims and tweeted that Pakistan lost one soldier and three civilians in the skirmishes.
Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs today summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner Gaurav Ahluwalia, after Indian army conducted artillery fire on terror launch pads in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Sources said that Rajnath Singh and Army Chief General Bipin Rawat are personally monitoring the situations. According to the sources Defense Minister has asked the army chief to keep updating him.
According to the reports Pakistan has violated more than 2,000 times on LoC this year.
Reports are coming that heavy exchanges of firing is still ongoing from both the sides of armed forces at LoC.
Reports said that after FATF meeting Pakistan continuously violating cease-fire in LoC with the intention to infiltrate terrorist. Many believe that action taken by Indian Army may once again escalates the tension between both the country.
This point is to note that this strike came just before the day when there is election going to happen in Haryana and Maharashtra.
