Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat said on Monday that India has military options to deal with Chinese transgression if talks between both the countries fail.
Indian and Chinese army are engaged in a standoff since April, even in a violent one over multiple locations at Eastern Ladakh.
“The military option to deal with transgressions by the Chinese Army in Ladakh are on but it will be exercised only if talks at the military and the diplomatic level fail,” Bipin Rawat said on the ongoing dispute between India and China in Eastern Ladakh.
Military level talks is going on between both the countries but it seems like China’s PLA (People’s Liberation Army) is not in the mood to disengage or withdraw completely from fingers area.
Indian army already preparing to maintain its current strength troops, tanks and other weaponry in all key locations in eastern Ladakh even in the harsh winter months.
India is also working on providing alternative connectivity (new road) to the strategically important Sub-Sector North including the Daulat Beg Oldi to rush troops and equipments to border without being observed by enemy.
Earlier India rejects China`s proposal of equidistant disengagement from the fingers area eastern Ladakh.
