Joe Root double century against India

England Captain Joe Root has proved his mattle in the first test against India in Chennai. In his 100th Test match Joe Root played an incredible knock for his team and has put the team on a strong position. This double ton against high confidence Indian bowling lineup will go down the history, as one of his best innings.

Joe Root is in incredible form and is looking quite dangerous. Root came out of the crease and sent the ball out of the park to reach his 5th double century in Ashwin’s over. The ease with which Root is timing and playing the deliveries is a big concern for Indian Captain, Virat Kohli and the team management.

There were criticism and questions on the batting form of the England captain after the series against Pakistan. But in the England tour to Sri Lanka, Joe Root scored a double century in the first test and 186 runs in the second test. For these impeccable performances with the bat, Root was awarded with Player Of The Series award.
