Melbourne– The speculation have ended as on Thursday Cricket Australia have confirmed about Ind Vs Aus tour 2020 which is all set to begin from October comprising of T20, 4 tests and ODI.
The decision came after England invited West Indies and Pakistan in July for a T20 and Test series. There was all debate and speculations going around about revival of world cricket. The T20 series is all set to begin from October. 1st match is scheduled to be played at Brisbane on October 11 followed by October 14 in Canberra and October 17 in Adelaide.
But the biggest highlight of the Australia is a Day Night Test series in Adelaide. The Virat Kohli lead team India will play it’s first test on December 3 at Brisbane followed by a Day Night Test match in Adelaide on December 11, then third test in Melbourne from December 26-30 and then the fourth test in Sydney from January 3-7.
This will be a tough and challenging series for team India as they will return to the field after a long period. Indian Team has slipped to number 3 position in ICC Test Rankings, to regain the throne of becoming the Number one test team team India needs to give a top notch performance. Then team India will head off for 3 match ODI series beginning from January 12 to January 17 in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
“We are working closely with the BCCI to deliver the eagerly anticipated men’s and women’s tours, and we are looking forward to staging the important series against both the men’s and women’s New Zealand sides”, said CEO of Cricket Australia, Kevin Roberts.
The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a huge loss for the Cricket Boards. To compensate the loss, Cricket Boards will try to organise series in the next few months. But with no vaccine available it’s still a big question, is revival of Cricket currently possible.
