IND Vs AUS
Team India have now set a new record but sadly the wrong one. In the history of Indian Cricket, this is the lowest total scored in Test matches. Virat Kohli’s men have broken the 46 years old record today in Adelaide.
Before this the lowest total set by Indian in Test matches was 42 runs against England in 1974. The English Duo Geoff Arnold and Chris Old exploited the conditions and sent the Indian batsmen back to the pavilion.
Till Yesterday India were at the top of their game. Taking a lead of 53 runs at the end of Day 2 it seemed India were dominating the play, but guess what the Australian bowlers were upto something special today. The likes of Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood completely rolled over the Indian Batting line up.
The batting collapse was surely unexpected. When India came into bat today morning, the score was 9 runs at the loss of 2 wickets. With Bumrah and Aggarwal in the middle, the team was in comfortable position. But then we witnessed the greatness of Kangaroos. The Indian batsman couldn’t stand infront of the fierce Australian bowlers.
Between 6 to 13 overs India lost 4 wickets and just scored 6 runs. The wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara, Mayank Aggarwal, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli completely pushed India out of the game. India managed to score just 36 runs at a loss of 9 wickets. Josh Hazlewood 5 wickets haul and Pat Cummins 4 wickets will go down the history as one of the best spells.
The target 90 runs is easily achievable specially seeing the likes of Steve Smith, Wade, Labuschagne in the opponent side. However if India wants to make a fight in the the game, taking early wickets is the key.
