Team India and Shreyas Iyer are all ready ahead of India’s first ODI on November 27 in Sydney when they will lock horns with Australia. This will be India’s first of the three ODIs with as many T20I and four tests. This will also mark India’s series since their tour of New Zealand.
The series will also see Indian players donning the new retro kit of the 1992 World Cup for their three-match ODI series. The new kit is of navy blue colour and has coloured stripes on the shoulder. It carries the names of Team India’s new principle sponsors Byju’s and kit sponsors MPL.
Ahead of their first ODI Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer is all pumped up as he shared his picture in the new retro jersey and wrote that be couldn’t be more pumped up to play for the country.
“Couldn’t be more pumped up to be back representing my country! We’re in this together #TeamIndia,” Iyer wrote.
The Delhi Capitals Captain was in terrific form in the IPL and also led the Capitals’ to its first-ever IPL final but unfortunately they faced defeat to Mumbai Indians.
He has answered India’s number 4 position problem very well. The Mumbai batsmen has scored 748 runs in 18 ODI at an average of 49.86.
