Harbhajan Singh will no longer be part of the CSK camp for IPL 13 that is set to kickstart from September 19 in UAE. He is set to miss out on the tournament due to personal reasons.
It seems like nothing is going at the moment for the Chennai Super Kings. Harbhajan missing the IPL has added another setback in the series of incidents following the Covid-19 fiasco and Raina pulling out of the IPL earlier.
Earlier, reports were making rounds that he will be unavailable as he was yet to travel to the UAE for IPL 2020. Famously called ‘the Turbunator’, Bhajji was earlier expected to join the team on Sept 1 but now he has conveyed the decision of his absence to the team management. However, an official announcement about the same is yet to come out.
Earlier, 13 members of the CSK, most of the staff members including 2 players Rituraj Gaikward and Deepak Chahar was tested Covid-19 positive which forced the franchise to postpone its practice session. And till now the CSK hasn’t hit the nets while other teams have already begun their practice.
Soon after the Covid-19 fiasco, Suresh Raina left UAE and pulled out of this edition of IPL due to personal reasons. Reports started circulating that he had clashed with the franchise over hotel room issues and biosecure bubble. However, he later clarified it was due to family reasons because of which he left.

He also stated that he may join the team back in UAE soon. Earlier, his uncle, bua and cousins were brutally attacked by some goons in the Pathankot district of Punjab. His uncle died and his cousin succumbed to his injuries. His bua was also in life support. Raina urged the Punjab CM and police to look into the matter.
The IPL is set to start from September 19 and it will be interesting to see if CSK announces a replacement for the former off-spinner or not. Earlier, Sourav Ganguly confirmed that the official schedule of IPL 13 will be out this evening.
