In Bollywood, there are lots of Father-Son duo who are currently working in the movies. But there’s a such duo, who just switched their roles for a film. We are talking about Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
The movie Paa is a story of Auro, a 12-year-old boy who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called progeria. He is raised by his gynaecologist mother Dr. Vidya. As the story progresses, Auro wants to know about his father but Vidya hides it from him due to some reasons. Paa is inspired by the 1996 Hollywood movie Jack.
The thing which makes this film so unique is the casting of the lead character. Auro was played by Amitabh Bachchan and Auro’s father Amol Arte was played by Abhishek Bachchan. But in real life, the roles are just opposite, Amitabh is the father of Abhishek. This unique pairing gained the movie a lot of appreciation back when it released.

The film is a story around Radha (Naga Chaitanya) and Krishna (Samantha), who are a married couple with a kid named Bittu in early 1980’s. They die in an accident. Bittu (Nagarjuna) grows up and happens to see reincarnation of his father and his mother as youngsters. The rest of the story is all about how Bittu tries to unite these two youngsters.
The film becomes so unique because the lead cast Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akkineni Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya all are related. Nageswara Rao was the father of Nagarjuna and Nagarjuna is the father of Naga Chaitanya. It was the first time when three generation of a family are sharing the silver screen together, isn’t that unique.
In adding more to it, Nagarjuna’s younger son Akhil Akkineni and his wife Amala Akkineni made a special appearance (cameo) in the film.
