At the 14th Asian Film Awards, Zoya Akhtar directorial Gully Boy has done it again for India. It won the Best Original Music award at the ceremony. Karsh Kale & The Salvage Audio Collective has given the music for Gully Boy.
The prestigious Asian Film Awards happened this year virtually at Busan, South Korea due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The show has been broadcasted online on YouTube. From India, Gully Boy has received in total 3 nominations while Jallikattu and Thappad has been nominated in 2 categories each.

After losing in the Best Costume Design & Best Production Design category, Gully Boy finally got a win in the Best Original Music category. It was nominated alongside Parasite, Jallikattu, On-gaku: Our Sound and Svaha: The Sixth Finger.
The award for Best Original Music has been presented by actor director Yang Ik-Joon. Karsh Kale accepted the award virtually and thanked everyone from the team for uniting and creating such a brilliant music for the film. He also thanked & congratulated his partners ‘The Salvage Audio Collective’ for going above and beyond to help make this music that it was.
The Salvage Audio Collective also accepted the award virtually. They also thanked the Asian Film Awards, the team of Gully Boy, the producers, the director and their friends & families in their acceptance speech. They all are very very honoured to receive this award.
It is India’s only award at the 14th Asian Film Awards. Gully Boy has given rise to underground hip-hop in India. The spark which was started back in 2019 has turned into a revolution today. Many many congratulations to the team of Gully Boy.
