After United States, Italy and Spain, France become the fourth country to record more than 20,000 death from Covid-19.
In France, according to the latest report from the health authorities as for the Covid-19 pandemic, about 155,383 cases have been reported and 20,265 people died.
Although per day positive cases declined in France which is a positive news.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said Sunday that France’s lockdown had slowed coronavirus infections and deaths but that the health crisis was “not over” — and that life was unlikely to return to normal “for a long time” after restrictions are officially lifted on May 11.
“We will have to learn to live with the virus,” he said. “We will not have a vaccine quickly and there is no known effective treatment at this stage. We have only one instrument left: prevention.” He added.
Prime Minister Edouard Philippe also provides a blueprint to gradually lift the Lockdown in his press briefing.
As of now France has 97,709 active cases out of which 5,683 is in critical condition or in ICU.
France has reported 463,662 Coronavirus tests as of now and conduct 7,103 tests per million people.
