In order to ramp up the production rate of LCA Tejas, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited is working on a plan to increase the involvement of private players in manufacturing of Tejas Combat Aircraft.
Proceeding in the same order, Dynamatic Technologies Limited rolled out Frontal Fuselage of aircraft from its factory.
Just like Dynamatic Technology, L&T to make wings of the aircraft, VEM Technologies to manufacture centre fuselage and Alpha Doca will make the rear fuselage while Godrej Aerospace already manufacturing actuators for LCA.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited plans to scale up the production capacity of Tejas by 24 Aircraft per year in future, while the production rate of rate of Tejas is somewhere around 10-14 aircraft per year.
Currently 40 Tejas MK-1 is in order out of which 17 aircrafts has been delivered to Air force including IOC and FOC standard.
Order for 83 Tejas MK-1A is also expected to sign soon. HAL currently to build 123 Tejas aircraft of MK-1/1A standard.
As the design of MK-1 and 1A is identical, Dynamatic Technology will easily produce Front Fuselage Assembly without any issue.
After private players start manufacturing different parts of Tejas, HAL will only work as a prime integrator.
Tejas MK-II is also in the development phase, once developed IAF may give order for 180-200 aircrafts which means HAL has to ramp up the production rate of LCA in any condition to fast track the induction of these aircrafts in IAF.
