After 59 matches and 49 days we have finally got the two finalist of IPL 2020. Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, two of the most deserving and exciting team of this year’s IPL. By defeating David Warner’s Sunrisers Hyderabad in Abu Dhabi today by 17 runs, Shreyas Iyer and his boys proved why they were considered one of the favourites this year.

During the initial phase of the tournament, Delhi Capitals were on a roll, but after facing a string of defeats there were some concerns and big questions for the team management and the Captain. However the way they made a comeback is worth applaudable. The young guns proved that the future belongs to them.

Delhi Capitals gamble of opening with Marcus Stoinis paid wonders for the team. Shikhar Dhawan and Marcus Stoinis opening partnership completely pushed SRH bowlers to the backfoot. While Stoinis departed at the 9th over, Dhawan continued his innings and helped the team in getting to good position. His knock of 78 runs in 50 balls and Hetmyer’s blasting at the end helped DC to reach to a fightable score of 190 runs.

When SRH came into bat, Kagiso Rabada and Marcus Stoinis were completely on top of the opposition. Kagiso Rabada steaming in and hitting the right lengths were visuals to cherish. Picking Warner’s wicket in the 2nd over helped DC to dominate the game.
While from the other end Stoinis supported Kagiso and picked important breakthroughs of Priyam Garg and Manish Pandey.

Just when Williamson and young Abdul Samad were looking good and were on a mood to finish the game on style, captain Shreyas Iyer brought Stoinis and the Australian all rounder dismissed ‘Ice Man’ Kane Williamson and turned around the game.

Marcus Stoinis has been Mr. Dependable for Delhi Capitals. Everytime the team was on aa difficult position, Marcus rolled up the sleeves and took his team across the finishing. The guy contributed to the team in every way possible, with the bat, bowl and through his efforts on the field. Today, he proved once again how much importance he holds in this team.

While the Purple Cap Holder Kagiso Rabada took 3 wickets in the 19th over and took away the chances of Sunrisers Hyderabad to qualify for the playoffs. Rabada has been a go to man for Shreyas Iyer. In the whole tournament along with Nortje, the duo outclassed the opponent. The hard work of the tournament has been finally paid off.

Now Delhi Capitals will be facing 4 time IPL Champion Mumbai Indians. It will be the battle of Titans Rohit Sharma Vs Shikhar Dhawan, Marcus Stoinis Vs Hardik Pandya and Kagiso Rabada Vs Boom Boom Bumrah.
