Delhi Capitals have defeated Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets in Abu Dhabi today. But both the teams have now qualified for the IPL Playoffs. DC will now meet Mumbai Indians in the first match of the playoffs, RCB will be facing either KKR or SRH in the eliminator.

Delhi Capitals are now holding the 2nd position with 16 points while RCB has qualified based on their NRR (Net Run Rate) which is better than Kolkata Knight Riders.
KKR fans were hoping that this match turns out to be a one sided affair but sadly it didn’t happen. For qualifying in Playoffs, DC needed to chase the total of 153 runs by 17.3 overs, but DC chased this total at the end of 19 overs.

The prayers have already began in Kolkata. KKR players, fans, owners and all the well wishers will be hoping that Sunrisers Hyderabad losses their game against mighty Mumbai Indians in Sharjah tomorrow which in order will help Kolkata Knight Riders to qualify for the playoffs.

Sunrisers Hyderabad are in a great run. The calculation is pretty simple, if SRH wins their next game they will directly qualify for the Playoffs, but if they fail then KKR will become the fourth team. Kolkata Knight Riders match against RR was a complete team performance, but in earlier games KKR failed to deliver and more importantly keep in check their run rate.

In today’s match Delhi Capitals completely outclassed Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB at no point of time where in the game. The continuous failure of Virat Kohli is a worrying signal. However with the help of Devdutt Padikkal RCB managed to get to a fightable score of 152 runs.

When Delhi Capitals came into bat, Shikhar Dhawan and Rahane builded a strong foundation which was capitalised by Rishabh Pant and Stoinis at the end. Delhi Capitals made it look like an easy run chase. In high pressure game, DC boys stepped up and took the team across the finishing line. This match will surely help the team in building their lost confidence in the upcoming games.
