Mumbai– Cyclone Nisarga is all set to hit the city of dreams, Mumbai on Wednesday June 3. Cyclone Nisarga which intensified into severe cyclonic storm is heading towards Maharashtra and Gujarat costs. The Cyclonic will make its landfall in today afternoon in Alibaug with heavy rainfall accompanied by wind speed of 110 kmph to 120 kmph.
The government is taking all the precaution to save it’s people from the Cyclonic storm.
CM Uddhav Thackeray has earlier announced phase wise relaxation of the lockdown but seeing the impact of the Nisarga cyclone Section 144 has been imposed in Mumbai and it’s nearby areas. CM Uddhav Thakry appealed to people saying, “The cyclone could be more severe than the ones the state has faced till now. Activities which had resumed (as part of easing of lockdown) will be kept shut there for the next two days, people should remain alert.” People have been restricted to come out of their home till June 4.
The Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and many other localities are on red alert. More than 60000 people have been evacuated and taken to safe places. NDRF (The National Disaster Relief Force) has deployed 20 teams in Maharashtra, including 8 in Mumbai. The weather conditions in Mumbai has already changed since past two days. Heavy rainfall is witnessed in Mumbai since Tuesday.

Stay away from windows and doors
If any emergency situation arises use your hands to protect your head and neck
Don’t spread rumours
Do not come out of your house
Do not allow oil and other flammable substances to spill.
