As per the reports from ANI, the 3-time IPL Champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will leave for UAE on August 21 for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
Before heading for UAE, the team will attend a training camp in Chennai at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk), said Kasi Viswanathan, team CEO, on Tuesday while speaking with ANI.
It is learned that Dubai will be the base camp for the three-time IPL champions.
“The team will start practicing at Chepauk mostly by August 16. Dhoni and Raina, along with other team members, would arrive by August 14-15, and we would leave for UAE around August 21,” he said.
He further confirmed that the team is planning to take 8-10 net bowlers along with them, but nothing has been finalised yet.
Ms Dhoni would mark his return to cricket since he last played any match in the semi-final of the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand.
There has been a lot of debate, rumours and speculations going on about his retirement but many of the cricket pundits think that he has a lot of cricket left in him.
Amidst this Kasi Viswanathan said he is not worried about MS Dhoni’s future at all and believes the skipper will play till 2022 for the three-time IPL champions.
