According to latest report, the result of all the members from CSK (Chennai Super Kings) are Covid-19 negative except the 13 members who were earlier tested positive.
KS Viswanathan earlier said all the members including the 13 members have also been tested negative, but later he clarified and revised his statement.
He said, “All others, apart from the 13, have tested negative for COVID-19. They will have to undergo another test on Thursday, September 3. We are likely to start training on Friday, September 4,” Viswanathan said from Dubai where the team is based right now.”
However this news will surely be a relief for all the stakeholders (BCCI, IPL Governing Council, Franchises and most importantly the fans). The players will hit the ground and start their training from September 4.
Deepak Chahar and Ruturaj are currently on a 14 days quarantine and will only join the team after undergoing 2 Covid-19 tests. While Suresh Raina has returned back to the country due to his personal reasons. Chinna Thalla’s absence will surely create some problems in the early stage of the tournament. There are some doubts about Harrbhajan Singh joining the team.
However it would be interesting to see how Thala Dhoni manages to deal with all the problems surrounding his team, and carries forward the legacy.
