The World Health Officials have now a name for the illness caused by coronavirus. The WHO(World Health Organisation) have now a proposed an official name for the illness caused by the virus, as Covid 19. The acronym stands for coronavirus 2019. 19 denotes that illness caused by this virus was first detected in 2019.
The director general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, stated that the new name makes no reference to any of the people, places or animals associated with the coronavirus. The goal was to avoid stigma.
Under international guidelines, the W.H.O. “had to find a name that did not refer to a geographical location, an animal, an individual or group of people, and which is also pronounceable and related to the disease,” he said on Twitter.
The death toll reached new high on Wednesday even though Chinese official said the rate of new infections showed sign of slowing. 97 new deaths and 2,075 new cases emerged nationwide.
The total number of deaths in China to at least 1,113. And the total number of confirmed cases rose to 44,653. Most of the newly reported deaths, 94, occurred in Hubei Province, the heart of the outbreak as per reported by The New York Times.
There are 393 Covid-19 confirmed cases outside China and it is spreaded over more than 24 Countries.

Outbreak in Wuhan:
The first Covid-19 was identified in Wuhan, when 41 people developed pneumonia overnight without clear cause. Since then Wuhan has been there in news. The outbreak is so massive that the government had to lockdown the city of Wuhan. All the government are evaluating the students and people living in Wuhan. Research has been still going on regarding the source of coronavirus, the recent study showed the source might be a penguin or a snake, but not yet confirmed.

- Avoid touching your eyes,mouth or nose with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are suffering from the disease.
