Breaking: Coronavirus cases in India crosses 1,00,000 mark

Delhi. After almost 4 months of reporting its first Coronavirus case, today India crosses the 1,00,000 cases mark.

According to the data from WorldOmeter.info, on May 18th, India officially crosses 1 Lakh registered Coronavirus cases. The effect of this virus has killed around 3,155 people across the country but the good news is the recovery cases are also increasing gradually.

Till date, around 38,909 people were recovered from Coronovirus, which is about 39% of the total cases. India registered its first case on January 30, the on March 28 it reached 1000 cases and now the number stands at 1,00,293. About 57,926 people are still fighting the virus.

Today India registers 4,595 new cases and still counting. Yesterday 5,050 new cases were registered, which is the highest number of cases registered in a day in India. 154 people also lost the battle with the virus yesterday. The numbers are disturbing people but they can keep themselves safe just by following the simple rules of social distancing. Hope tomorrow will be a good day for India.
