Tensions rises between India and China as fresh clashes were reported between troops of both Countries at Pangong Tso, Eastern Ladakh.

According to Indian army the PLA troops violate previous consensus arrived during military & diplomatic engagements. Incident at Southern bank of Pangong Tso Lake.

No casualties in Indian side so far as reported in latest Pangong clash. Reinforcements has been sent to the area.

“On the Night of 29/30 August 2020, PLA troops violated the previous consensus arrived at during military and diplomatic engagements during the ongoing standoff in Eastern Ladakh and carried out provocative military movements to change the status quo,” the army said in a statement.

Indian troops pre-empted this PLA activity on the Southern Bank of Pangong Tso Lake, and thwart Chinese intentions to unilaterally change facts on ground.

“The Indian Army is committed to maintaining peace and tranquility through dialogue, but is also equally determined to protect its territorial integrity. A Brigade Commander level Flag Meeting is in progress at Chushul to resolve the issues.” Army spokesperson said.

Chief of Army Staff Gen MM Naravane has already conveyed to all the senior commanders of the Army, overseeing the operation of the frontline formations along the LAC, to keep up a significantly high state of alertness and maintain the aggressive posturing to deal with any Chinese “misadventure”, sources said (PTI).

Tensions between India and China escalates since the violent clash at Galwan Valley and now the clash at Pangong Tso will add further heat over this tension.

Both the countries held multiple level of military talks since Galwan Clash for disengagement but very limited disengagement has been seen so far.

As per reports China redeployed J-20 fighter jets near Ladakh, days before fresh transgression attempt.
