Master Lu is a Chinese benchmarking platform, similar to Antutu and Geekbench. It gives scores to the smartphones according to the performance. They have released a report about the smartphone brands market share of China in Q1 2020.
Q1 was completely a disastrous quarter as CoVID-19 hit the China from the first of quarter. And this lead to the decrease in smartphone shipment. But after pulling back the lock-down, Chinese people ordered a lot of smartphones and this data will be coming in Q2 2020.
Report shows that Huawei had the market share of 18.51% whereas the subsidiary brand of Huawei, Honor had the market share of 14.66% which is just 3.85 % less than the parent. Together, they acquire 33.17% of smartphone brands market share.
Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Samsung also remained at the great height in Q1. Xiaomi had the market share of 13.9 % whereas VIVO had the market share of 13.67%. This quarter, VIVO may beat Xiaomi in terms of market share. Oppo got stronger with the market share of 14.51 %. Samsung hold the market share of 4.72% which is less in number if it’s global market share is considered.
ZTE remained in in the market with 2.7 % share, Meizu with 2.6 %, flagship OnePlus brand with 1.25 % and Nubia with 0.75 %. 2nd quarter of 2020 may show differences in the smartphone brands market share as China has started manufacturing and they are working like before.
