Chadwick Boseman gets a Golden Globe nomination for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom

In November, 2020 when Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom released in selected cinemas in the US, people got to see late actor Chadwick Boseman for one last time on the big screen. His performance as Levee was very much liked by everyone and it become the highlight of the film for many.

Today, Golden Globe association released the list of nominees for best actor in a motion picture drama for 2021. There we got to see that Chadwick Boseman is nominated in this category alongside Riz Ahmed(Sound of Metal), Anthony Hopkins (The Father), Gary Oldman (Mank) and Tahar Rahim (The Mauritanian).

His co-actor Viola Davis from Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom who played the lead is also being nominated for Best Actor in a motion picture drama (female). Chadwick’s fan are very happy to see their favourite actor getting every ounce of success even after his demise.

But according to some, Chadwick gets this nomination only because of sympathy and nothing else. They think that the association has ignored many other deserving actor for this award.
