
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is in good health after testing positive for the novel coronavirus earlier this week, his press office said on Thursday.
“President Jair Bolsonaro, diagnosed with COVID-19 on July 7, is getting on well, without complications,” the statement said. “He is in good health and continues to be monitored routinely by the medical team of the Presidency of the Republic.”

President Jair Bolsonaro is third head of the state to tested positive for Coronavirus, after UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
Bolsonaro repeatedly played down the threat of coronavirus. He also defied local guidelines to wear a mask in public.
Brazil is the second worst coronavirus hit country after USA, with 1.75 million total Coronavirus case and reported more than 69,000 death.
