Bobby Deol’s Class Of 83 will be releasing on Netflix. The actor’s first look from the film left his fans frenzy.

Bobby Deol, with movies like Barsaat, Gupt, Kareeb, Soldier, Badaal and many more  touched millions of hearts and became a household name. The actor followed the path of his father Dharmendra and brother Sunny Deol. The curly hair and the innocence in his acting made Bobby people’s favourite back in the days.

On the contrary, Sunny Deol was a reigning superstar of that era. The stardom, the hits and the buzz around Sunny was unmatchable. He was a typical ‘Hero’ of Indian Cinema, who could fight with the Villan and save the nation.

Before Bobby’s debut, high expectations were riding on the actor’s shoulder. The actor had to prove himself and was often compared to his father and brother. With not that much of a macho look or mass appeal Bobby failed to deliver, what was expected from him. The actor succumbed to the pressure of being a son and a brother of superstars. The changing times and the chase for the Khans, Kapoors and Kumar added on to Bobby Deol’s absence from the film industry.

After 2007, Deol film career began to collapse. He starred in movies like Yamla Pagla Deewana and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2, but failed to impress the audience. Bobby loosed his grip from the industry. Reacting to this Bobby Deol once said, “I guess I was too old-fashioned, couldn’t keep up with the quickly changing times. In my time, the 90s, everything was slow. People didn’t talk about themselves all the time. Your work did the talking. It was rare to see or access a star and that made being one very interesting. There was no social media, no internet, things were generally simpler. Suddenly, there was this transition and I couldn’t adapt to it. But now, I want to change that. I really, really want to change that.

He further added, “I didn’t even realize when my career started slipping away. You usually don’t. Work slows down and before you know it, you are sitting at home more than hanging out on film sets. I used to ask myself: What’s wrong with you, Bobby? Why aren’t you getting work? Add to it the speculations and stories people spin around you.”

Bobby appeared in films like Race 3, Poster Boys and Houseful 4, but that wasn’t much appreciated by the audience. Now Bobby Deol is making a true comeback with Class Of 83.The movie is directed by Atul Sabharwal and produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie is based on Sayyed Yunus Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘The Class Of 83’. The movie will depict the story of Dean Vijay Singh played by Bobby Deol, a policeman turned police instructor, whose trainees find themselves with conflicts such as honour and devotion.

Bobby took to his twitter and shared, “Playing Dean Vijay Singh was an experience like never before. Class Of ’83coming soon on Netflix,”. The first look has hit the right point, since the poster released of Bobby Deol wearing an uniform, the expectations and the buzz is roaring high. Praises and appreciation are garnering in for the actor and the makers.

There cannot be a better time for Bobby Deol to mark his return, when audience are open to new content and want to accept something different. The actor can regain his lost throne by delivering the best he can and if his best co matches with audience liking, there is no stopping for the 51 year old.

A movies under the banner Red Chillies Entertainment are highly promoted. During this difficult phase people want to spend some time watching movies, assuming that opening of theatre is no time sooner, people are now drawing towards the OTT platforms. As Netflix serve to the Urban India, Bobby Deol has high end opportunity to capture the urban market and start a new journey from here on.
