Pakistani Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Bill Gates co-founder of Microsoft Corporation discuss on telephone about anti-Covid measure and Polio campaign.
Yes, this sounds strange because in any other normal country, which Pakistan claim they are, usually armed forces entitled to defend their country from any external attack or sometime in internal unrest.
Army is not made to take part in civilian works for example in improving health sector, making policy to boost economy, foreign relations, controlling administration etc, till they are called in for to do so.
Last year, Chief Bajwa holded a Private Meeting with Business Tycoons in absence of PM Imran Khan or any other elected ministers, to Boost Pakistan failing Economy.
Certainly it is weird for any other country but for Pakistan it is a normal practice.
DG ISPR in a tweet said “General Qamar Javed Bajwa, COAS & BillGates, Co-Chair of The Bill & Melinda gates foundation, spoke on telephone about Pakistan’s COVID-19 response and resumption of polio campaign,”

“Mr Gates conveyed appreciation for Pakistan Army for supporting national polio drive, ensuring proper reach and coverage. COAS said it was a national cause and national effort for a polio free Pakistan. Credit goes to grassroots workers including mobile teams, Law Enforcement Agencies and healthcare representatives,” DG ISPR added.
The huge involvement of Pakistan army in civilian authorities shows the failure of government.
Earlier this year Bajwa himself gave the extension for the term of Army Chief for another three years, although the extension passed from Pakistan parliament but we all know the dominance of Pakistan army.
Imran Khan government is nothing but a puppet of Bajwa and Pakistani army.
