Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana and Abhishek Kapoor join hands for their next which is yet untitled. The movie will see Ayushmann going through a big transformation, playing the role of cross functional athlete.
According to latest report, the movie will be shot in the background of North India. The makers are planning to start the shooting of the film from October and release the film by next year (2021).
Abhishek Kapoor known for films like Rock On, Kai Po Che and Kedarnath serves the audience with a certain kind of cinema. The duo’s collaborative efforts are sure to bring wonders on the big screen.
The new age superstar with his diverse range of acting skills and filmography has impressed the millennials. Ayushmann Khurrana is one of those few stars who have strong connect with his audience. With movies like Bala, Dream Girl, Andhadhun and many more, the actor is in the league of himself.
Ayushmann Khurrana said, “Abhishek has a very distinct voice in cinema today,” and added that their film, “has all the trappings to take audiences through a ride of emotions and it is a total family entertainer. It is a beautiful, progressive love story that will also touch your hearts”.
While the director Abhishek Kapoor said, “Ayushmann and I are both known for a certain kind of cinema and this film is definitely a special one for both of us”.
Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in Gulabo Sitabo alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the movie failed to release in theatres, but was later released on Amazon Prime. Ayushmann and Amitabh starrer was well perceived and received a thumbs up from the audience.
The romantic drama, will be a new challenge for the actor. Playing the role of functional athlete will be an exciting challenge, the actor said. “I’m supremely excited about the physical transformation that I will have to undergo. It will present me in an all-new avatar. I have never looked like this on-screen. The process is going to be intense and excruciating for me but I feel all the pain will be worth it.”
